Have you ever seen a diving cormorant up close? What about playful otters, a pike lying in wait or a 1.5 metre-long catfish? How about swimming seals, a hunting northern gannet or a jellyfish family?
You can go on a special safari in the Natuurmuseum Fryslân starting in spring 2018. The Underwater Safari is an educational ride where you dive below the surface but still stay dry. Visitors travel from the fresh water of ponds and streams to the salt water of the Wadden Sea world heritage site. En route they track down the Big Five of the underwater world of the Netherlands: the beaver, the otter, the catfish, the seal and the porpoise.
