The Into Nature biennial art route takes you along Drenthe’s rustic landscape. Wander through nature by bike or on foot and look for spectacular works of art by Matthew Day Jackson, David Claerbout, Sarah van Sonsbeeck and Lotte Geeven.
This summer, look for Adrián Villar Rojas’s bird’s nests, go astray in Olafur Eliasson’s light and wake up in a work by Heather & Ivan Morison. Into Nature is a biennial, exciting art route in the ancient landscape of Drenthe that you simply cannot afford to miss.
This summer’s theme is ‘Into Nature: Out of Darkness’. Visitors will hike and cycle along the border of Fryslân, Overijssel and Drenthe. The route starts on one of the darkest places in the Netherlands: the Holtingerveld. Another starting location is Frederiksoord, in the middle of the Koloniën van Weldadigheid.
