The Seedykkykje is a viewing platform over Lake IJsselmeer with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape and beyond. The platform is at the end of a half-bridge that leads to it from the dike.
The Seedykkykje is a viewing platform over Lake IJsselmeer. From here there are magnificent views of the surrounding landscape and beyond. The platform is one of the best places from which to experience the diversity and beauty of the landscape.
The landscape is always changing and has to be maintained to preserve its beauty. Much of this work is done by farmers and nature conservation organisations. So the half-bridge over the water is also a symbolic bridge between farmers, citizens and nature.
The building of the Seedykkykje was initiated by the Westra family, the owners of the nearby Betonpleats Farm.
