Occa Tocca, named after the 17th-century Occa Johanna Ripperda who lived at Dekema State from the age of 8 to 14, is a curious girl who stays with her aunt and uncle at Dekema State. Curious about her aunt's garden secret, Occa Tocca sets out to investigate. On the basis of this storytelling treasure book, you will be taken through the gardens of Dekema State. Meanwhile Occa Tocca tells all kinds of things about nature and life on such an old estate.
There are 10 QR codes hidden along the way, if you scan them with your smartphone, a question or riddle will appear. Do you know how to give the correct answers and thus crack the code word? By giving the correct answers, the garden secret of Dekema State is unraveled.
The experience walk is for children aged 8 - 12 years. Supervision of an adult is recommended because of the smartphone use and the narrative text. The experience walk takes about 1.5 hours and can be purchased for €4 at the entrance building of Dekema State. This experience walk can also be easily combined with, for example, a high tea in the stately tea house or picnic at the mysterious statue of Persephoné.
