Learn to play an instrument, make music together and that in a real orchestra! Neighborhood orchestra Camminghaburen - Heechterp - Schieringen shows and hears what that sounds are like during their final concert.

This orchestra originated from local residents who thought it would be fantastic to make music together, even if you've never done anything with music before. That's the beauty of this neighborhood orchestra: everyone can participate. At the start of the neighborhood orchestra, instruments were already present and everyone was allowed to choose which instrument they wanted to play: the shiny trumpet, the sturdy saxophone,  the keyboards, the guitar or enjoy yourself on the drums. It's about the fun!

Neighborhood orchestra Camminghaburen - Heechterp - Schieringen is one of the nine activities which are part of Over the threshold. Over the Threshold is the adaptation of the loneliness of the Municipality of Leeuwarden. Over the Threshold is also part of Arcadia 2022, the hundred-day cultural programme in Leeuwarden and Fryslan. Arcadia is the sequel to Leeuwarden-Fryslan 2018, European Capital of Culture.
