The Valentine's concert 'Ode to Love' is an intimate concert with (light) classical and popular music, from baroque to rock, with the cooperation of singer Kees van der Berg.
String quartet Regina Forte originated in Friesland in 2014 from a common desire to play string quartets. Ina, Anna, Inge and Andrea knew each other from a variety of Frisian ad hoc orchestras and through their jobs in education. All four of them cherished the desire to start a beautiful string quartet.
By now they have given more than 100 concerts in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe and beyond, sometimes in cooperation with Gerrit Breteler, Peter van der Zwaag, Wiebe Kaspers and Douw Fonda.
They could be heard on radio and television in Noardewyn and Podium on Tour and in October 2019 they accompanied Willeke Alberti in Afas Live in Amsterdam.
The string quartet took master classes with Johannes Leertouwer, Kees Dekkers, Douw Fonda of the Vespucci Quartet, the Ruysdael Quartet, the Dudok Quartet and the Bennewitz Quartet, among others.

For the Valentine's concert, the quartet has invited Kees van der Berg. This singer and guitarist enjoys playing sophisticated, acoustic songs with attention to lyrics and melody. His long-range voice could be called a mix between Sting and Damien Rice and colors beautifully with the warm sound of the strings.
Together they take great pleasure in rehearsing and performing the arrangements that are sometimes written especially for them, without bells and whistles or grandiose effects, but of a musical beauty in its purest form.

Parking is limited near the church. Visitors can park - within walking distance and free of charge - in the large parking lot opposite Intratuin (south side Tijnjedijk).
