A poetic circus about grief and comfort
Take a look
Work in Progress – KINTSUGI | Compagnie Krak in collaboration with Idea: Els Degryse and Dieter Missiaen
Compagnie Krak is a well-established name in the world of circus and street theatre. With their visual and disarming style, they have performed at festivals all over Europe — and even in Canada.
Their newest creation, KINTSUGI, is still a work in progress. What you can expect is a poetic clown performance about loss, grief, and comfort.
There is a man.
There is a door.
There is hope.
The man waits. And waits. We wait with him. He tries his best to play away the emptiness, but it becomes increasingly clear how this will end...
In KINTSUGI, words are hardly spoken — and they’re not needed.
The imagery takes centre stage, humour breaks the tension, and comfort is always just around the corner.
It’s a performance that touches without overwhelming.
Grief food that doesn’t sit heavy in your stomach, but gently digests. Accessible, moving, and suitable for anyone aged 9 and up.
This event takes place in the Whitebox at Bouwurk at the Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden, Fryslân.
