A concert from a hiphop legend

Josh Davis, better known as DJ Shadow, is one of the world’s leading turntablists and hiphop producers. He’s been in the business for many years and is a true pioneer, making abstract, largely instrumental hiphop that follows on seamlessly from 1990s triphop, often using samples from forgotten discs. His first album, Endtroducing, in 1996, has had a lasting impact and was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the world’s 500 best pop albums.

Davis works closely with many artists from the hip hop scene. In 2016, he scored another hit with Nobody speak, using raps provided by hiphop duo Run the Jewels. Rappers Nas and members of Wu-Tang Clan contributed to his 2019 album Our pathetic age, and in 2022 he remixed King Gizzard & the Wizard Lizard. His live shows make innovative use of video projection, and are never less than spectacular.
