This year the Leeuwarden Medical Centre (MCL) is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Our exhibition paints a picture of hospitals and healthcare in Leeuwarden.

This year the Leeuwarden Medical Centre (MCL) is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The MCL arose from a merger (in 1982) between the Triotel (1971), the Diakonessenhuis (1879) and the Bonifatius Hospital (1883). The municipal hospital Triotel was the successor to the City Hospital (1825). 

In the exhibition 'Sûnens! Two centuries of hospital care in Leeuwarden' paints a picture of the hospitals and hospital care in Leeuwarden.
The exhibition runs from October 28, 2022 through April 9, 2023.
