With his drawings, Rein de Vries hopes to interest people in producing hydrogen around the equator using sunlight. He tries to make people think.

Rein de Vries was born in 1944 in Leeuwarden.
He followed his education at the Vredeman de Vries Academy, the Minerva Academy, a certificate of drawing and handicrafts and a course in art psychology at the University of Nijmegen.
He has been working as a visual artist since 1968.
In addition, she has worked as a teacher of drawing and painting at various secondary schools and creativity centers.
Growing up on the outskirts of the city, he has seen nature taken over by man's technology. He has always been interested in boats and water. That is also his environment where he paints.
With his drawings he hopes to interest people in producing hydrogen around the equator using sunlight. He tries to make people think.
His work has been purchased by various municipalities, provinces, private individuals and the European Parliament.
In 1999 Gerhild Toth van Rooy published “Visie en visioen van Rein de Vries”.

Kunstuitleen Friesland is open in June, July and August from Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
