NH Café: Wilkens x Jansen: Suikerbos & Knoopkes

**South African singer-songwriter Stefan Jansen and 'the Fryske trûbadoer' Piter Wilkens are on stage together for one night only at Neushoorn Café! With a combination of Fryske evergreens and South African classics, they will take you back to their own roots. Both find each other in the love for music and their own language. As part of 'let's meet and be part of the adventure', they will sing some songs together in Afrikaans, Frysk and English.**

**Piter Wilkens** Piter Wilkens was founder and bass player of the legendary Frisian-language band Okke Hel in the late 1970s, but increasingly developed as a singer and songwriter. In 1986, he went solo. Since then, he has more than 10 solo albums to his name and in 2021 he released the album 'De laitsjende Feniks'. An old-fashioned vinyl record with 12 new songs by him. With songs such as Knoopjes, It paad werom, Dûnsje mei dy, De bearenburch is myn sjirurch and Oeral thús, Piter brings true classics to the Frisian-language genre.

**Stefan Jansen** Stefan Jansen is a South African singer-songwriter. While playing his favourite South African songs while travelling, he fell in love with singing in his own language and hasn't stopped since. In 2018, Stefan was part of the 20th anniversary tour of Europe by The Parlotones (one of South Africa's biggest indie rock bands). He has also shared the stage with a few luminaries in the South African music industry, namely Jan Blohm, Valiant Swart, Justin Serrao, Crash Car Burn and Anton Goosen. During his Benelux tour, Stefan will collaborate with other regional language artists.
