WELCOME TO DELFSTRAHUIZEN
DISCOVER EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CHARMING VILLAGE
Delfstrahuizen is a unique village twinned with Echtenerbrug along the Tjeukemeer. The villages are literally separated by the Christiaansleat Pier, the connection between the Kop van Overijssel and the entrance to the vast Frisian Lakes. The location along the Tjeukemeer is ideal for all kinds of water sports activities and there are plenty of other recreational opportunities on land. You can enjoy all the activities from the terraces.
A VILLAGE OF SURPRISES
The Dolle Brêge days are organised every year during the summer. This is a series of spectacular events for tourists and residents. Various activities take place on Thursday evenings on or along the bridge and the water. These include zakslaan (log fighting), jeans hanging, canoe racing, cycling and walking trips, framed, of course, with live music. The Dolle Brêge days are concluded with a boating pageant. The Dolle Brêge days are held on the Christiaansleat Pier.
