IN SOUTH-WEST FRIESLAND
Idskenhuizen is in the municipality of the Frisian Lakes, which makes it ideal for walking and cycling. A cycling path was established in April 2013 that runs through Idskenhuizen along the Prinses Margriet Canal, and from there you can cycle to Sloten, Follega, Sint Nicolaasga and Langweer. These routes are available at the VVV tourist office or at the Jumbo supermarket in the village. Idskenhuizen also has a sailing school and two recreational parks where you can hire boats, get a surfing lesson and go camping.
