Visit the "Earthy Place" and discover both the cultural history and contemporary art of the Bildt. The Archaeological Centre shows the history of this area and specific facts of the Bildtse culture. The Bildtse landscape has attracted many artists. Changing group exhibitions show a variety of art and there is information about opportunities to visit studios in the area. At the 'Earthy Place' you can also enter the corresponding 'Julianakerk' and hear about the story behind this small former Baptist church. Sit down for a cup of coffee or tea with a delicious Old Sylster cake in the tearoom. The Earthy Place offers a wide range of tourist information about the environment.

Enhancing biodiversity: Onze 'Vlindertuin' staat vol inheemse planten en wordt druk bezocht door wilde bijen, vlinders en andere insecten.
Sustainable water use: We besproeien vrijwel nooit de tuin. Als we dit wel doen gebruiken we water uit de regenton.
Material usage: In de tuin is gebruik gemaakt van duurzaam materiaal en puin.
Money as a means to create social and ecological value: Met subsidies houden we ons bezoekerscentrum in stand en creëren we nieuwe elementen zoals de Vlindertuin, restauratie kerkorgel en meer.
Strengthening health and well-being: Wij zijn een gastvrije en laagdrempelig bezoekerscentrum met (vrij entree) en vriendelijke vrijwilligers. Altijd tijd voor een praatje. Veel aandacht voor kunst en muziek.o.a. met kunstexposities
Strengthening society and culture: Archeologisch Steunpunt geeft inzicht in het landschap en de cultuurhistorie van de Waddenkust.
