Pean-buiten Weidum is a three-hectare estate on the Elfsteden water, 8 kilometres from Leeuwarden. On the farmyard stands a Frisian farmhouse from 1867 with Restaurant WeidumerHout. The estate lies directly on the Elfsteden routes: the skating route, the cycling route and the water on which the famous tour is held.
Sleeping
There are 54 beds. In the meadow stand ten tiny houses, each with its own name, its own kitchen and its own bathroom; outside there is a seat with two chairs and a small table. In the harbour lie two houseboats with their own kitchen and a terrace on the water. The farmhouse has seven farm rooms, and next to it are three garden rooms; they look out over the orchard and the garden. A group of up to eighteen can rent the group accommodation, with its own private sauna. Beds are made up on arrival. There are also seventeen motorhome pitches with an electricity point.
Eating
Restaurant WeidumerHout is our own restaurant. Its kitchen is the new Frisian kitchen: local, seasonal produce. For groups of 8 or more we are open every day of the week, by reservation.
Outdoors
From our own harbour you can go out in the electric boat, on a SUP board or in a canoe. You can also fish and walk. In the meadow there is a Finnish sauna for eight people, which every guest can book. Dogs are welcome, except in the six farm rooms on the first floor. Parking on site is free.
