Wijnlokaal Bij de Mannen is situated in one of the most atmospheric buildings in Leeuwarden. The first real wine bar in the city, and a finalist (one of the best 15) in the national Wine-Bar of the Year Contest 2019, Bij de Mannen has a unique interior with a vintage aesthetic, where you'll quickly settle in. The warm chipped walls, covered in tasteful art make this the perfect place to spend time. Bij de Mannen has all sorts of places to sit and enjoy, from big tables for groups of friends, to cosy corners to share with lovers.

"Bij de Mannen" stands for relaxation, conviviality, guest-service; and craftsmanship. It's not just wine, either, though you can of course order from our huge selection. We also have fantastic cocktails, gins, and a range of delicious bites. Our 'Borrelhapjes' are perfect for sharing with friends, and of course we also have a range of more traditional snacks on offer, including olives, cheese and meat platters, and our unmissable fried selection. All of our wines are also available by the glass, and are poured table-side.
