DOBBEPAARDEN PHOTO ARTWORK
Marrum
Discover the reclining photo artwork in the middle of the Ozingadobbe, the place where the horses got trapped in 2006.
Discover the photographic artwork that lies flat in the middle of the Ozingadobbe (a dobbe is a small island in the middle of a pond), the place where the horses became stranded in 2006.
The image represents the horse rescue drama and was created by digital artist Marcel van Luit. Van Luit plays with depth, contrast and colour and is very adept at forging different images into a complete narrative, so that the image - even in this enormous format - is razor-sharp and matches the landscape in terms of colour palette. The artwork lies on the water surface and moves with the water level. It can only be viewed from the edge of the dobbe, which preserves the appearance of the open landscape. So if you want to see the image, you’ll have to put on your walking shoes!
