Observation Tower Seven
Ravenswoud
In this tower you can recognise the shape of a seven. Standing 18 metres high, it offers wide views over the landscape and is also suitable for visitors with a slight fear of heights.
Take a look
Don’t forget to bring your binoculars when climbing the tower. Once at the top, the panorama is impressive.
From this architectural landmark you look out over what is often called the Frisian savannah. The design is by architect Dick de Haan, who received several architecture awards for this tower. It is also known as the “periscope” because of its distinctive shape. The tower can be reached from Ravenswoud.
In summer, cranes can be spotted from the tower. Buzzards and hobbies are regularly seen in the area, and during the warmer months there is sometimes even a chance of seeing a short-toed eagle.
