The Groene Dijk cycle track and footpath along the bank of Sneekermeer Lake and through the Potschar nature reserve leads past bird observation points, a roost used by bats and sand martins and a canoeing route.

Heritage panels along the dike provide information about the local area and the dike itself, which was constructed in the Middle Ages. The marsh landscape attracts marsh birds and supports abundant marsh marigold. To get here, take the Offingawier exit from the Stadsrondweg-Oost ring road around the city of Sneek. Turn right at the T-junction. When you come to the intersection near the RCN De Potten Camping and Bungalow Park, turn left and you will eventually come to the pumping station, where you can park.
