A household name for many Leeuwarders and tourists: the cosy, nostalgic cheese and nut shop in the Kleine Kerkstraat. Across the street, Anton, Willie and son Bart recently opened a second attractive, cool shop where all kinds of new types of sausages, hams and wines are available. The two entrepreneurs were inspired by Italian and Spanish villages with old sausage and ham shops.
His father was also a great source of inspiration for Anton. Grandpa Klapwijk went door-to-door as a milkman with a horse and cart and later from a small shop. As a reminder, there is a beautiful photo of his father in the store. Back to the origin and knowing where it comes from...that's what matters!
