Lyts Ropta is an organic arable farm in the north of Friesland, where you can buy fresh vegetables and rent a holiday cottage.
At Lyts Ropta farm, cauliflower, shallots, potatoes, red, white, green, pointed and curly kale, pumpkins, grass-clover and grain are grown.
The organic farmer works with what nature provides to keep the soil fertile and combat diseases. Healthy, fertile soil is very important. That is why Lyts Ropta only uses manure from farm animals. Since 2016, sheep have helped to close the cycle on the farm.

Accommodation
Guests looking for an overnight stay are welcome in the renovated bakhúske on the farm. Bread was baked in this small farmhouse bakery 100 years ago; today, it provides accommodation for 2 people, including a bathroom and kitchenette. It is easy to combine with a visit to the Wadden Islands.
