Ryptsjerk

The sculpture De Leiker in the Frisian village of Ryptsjerk. It was made in 1986 by Frans Ram from Hogebeintum. The artwork symbolises the work of the “leiker”: a dredger who scooped up "klyn" (peat) from the bottoms of the waterways around Ryptsjerk.
