After more than 10 years of work by volunteers the ship is approaching completion. Work is still being done on finishing the woodwork and they’re also busy sewing the sails and attaching the rigging. It is possible that a first test sail could be made at the end of this year.
Due to the Corona crisis, visits are limited. However, it’s possible to look at the ship from the outside and there may be people around who could tell you a bit about it. There’s also the Visitor Centre, where the story of the wintering on Nova Zembla is told and information is provided about the ship’s construction. The Visitor Centre can be visited by appointment.
