If you eat less meat, you may prefer to choose good-quality meat from an animal that has had a good life. At Boeren in het Bos, you can buy meat from a natural livestock farm.

Take a look

Forest farmers Richard and Mariska keep cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and forest pigs at Landgoed Boschhoeve in the Drents-Friese Wold. The animals live outdoors all year round, have plenty of space and forage for part of their own food.

You can also join workshops and courses on natural farming. Visitors are welcome to walk around the estate, where you may come across pigs, chickens and cattle in the forest.
