All we can say is the whole of the Noardlike Fryske Wâlden National Landscape conservation area is worth discovering! One way to do this is to walk the circular route through the region (referred to in Dutch as ‘Streekpad’). Or you can simply visit the different parts of the region. The local farmers have found wonderful ways to manage their farms and livestock in harmony with nature. This adds beauty and variety to the landscape and makes this a wonderful place to be. Schwartzenbergerbos forest is one such little gem that you can enjoy exploring!
