About Noazem & De Non
Here, you experience nature at its purest: the vast landscape that changes with every season, the shifting skies drifting by, from typically Dutch cloudscapes to passing showers, the wind, the rural rhythm of people and animals, the sunrise and sunset, and the truly dark nights when, in clear weather, you can see not only the Milky Way but even the lighthouses of the islands off the coast.
Noazem & De Non are named after a song by the Frisian troubadour Piter Wilkens, inspired by the original song by Cornelis Vreeswijk. The song tells the story of a forbidden love between a rebellious young man and a nun. Our holiday homes are located on the Kleasterdyk, meaning Cloister Road, and we could easily picture it: secret meetings in the countryside, a virtuous nun stepping out with a bold young man in jeans and a leather jacket, perhaps riding on the back of a motorcycle. We translated these characters into the interior design of our lodges. De Noazem features a bold colour palette, strong materials and a touch of allure. After all, a proper nun does not fall for just anyone. De Non is styled in softer tones, with gentle materials and refined details. This is no ordinary nun.
Both De Noazem and De Non are luxurious and fully equipped holiday homes in the style of a modern barn, suitable for two people, optionally with a small child. From the living room, you look out over the surrounding meadows, and sliding doors lead to a covered terrace. There is a comfortable seating area with a cosy sofa and a smart TV, as well as a round dining table with four comfortable chairs. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and includes a refrigerator, oven and dishwasher. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable, featuring a rain shower and a generous vanity unit. The bedroom also offers countryside views through two tall windows, and the large king-size box spring bed ensures a restful night’s sleep.
Here, you stay as if in a luxury hotel. Cotton satin bed linen is provided, along with plenty of soft towels, a Nespresso machine with coffee capsules, a selection of teas, sugar and milk, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, a private Wi-Fi network, and a Bluetooth speaker. Fresh flowers, wine and snacks await you upon arrival. That is carefree enjoyment at its finest.
