Right in the middle of the terp village stands this church, dedicated to the German bishop Godehardus. The façades have plenty to tell. The newest part is the beautiful west front with tower from 1858. Under the pinched spire you’ll see round-arched mouldings and double bell openings. The church itself is medieval, but full of traces of later changes. You can clearly spot tuff stone reused from the previous church from the 11th century, and you can see where there were once extensions on both the north and south sides.

Inside, beneath the blue barrel vault, you’ll find a pulpit from 1658 and, opposite it, an elegant canopied gentlemen’s pew with crest from 1723. The organ case dates from 1831.
