Originating from a dairy farm with a history of more than 100 years, De Wartenster has grown into a modern business in Parties & celebrations, outdoor sports, food & drinks, paddle sailing and, since 2020, you can even stay a few nights at the mini-camping site or at the camper place. Camping and motorhome pitches Warten
Welcome to our campsite. The campsite is located near Leeuwarden, Eernewoude and Grou. Extremely accessible, while there is plenty of peace and quiet. There are many nice trips to make in the vicinity. The campsite is located in the water sports village of Warten. This is the ideal base for a cycle trip, a trip in a sloop (private or for hire) or a round trip with one of our open touring boats. We have a spacious restaurant, spacious saintair, playground, lots of activities, tour boats etc.Â
De Wartenster is located next to National Park De Alde Feanen, which is an excellent area for a canoe trip, a boat trip or a walk. This makes De Wartenster the ideal campsite for families. Children can have a great time in the large playground with trampolines, cable railways, swings and equipment.
Our pitches are spacious and have their own electricity connection (6 amp) and water tap. For campers, there is a paved pitch. Showering is free with us and wifi is also available free of charge. We have a restaurant and spacious terrace for a cosy drink, a good meal or a delicious wood-fired pizza!
Various activities are organised for children (and adults) such as archery, boating, pony riding, paintball.Â
Restaurant
Welcome to our restaurant and terrace. We are open from noon on Friday to Sunday. In fine weather, we naturally open our terrace on other days too!
We have a large garden/terrace as well as a large covered terrace and veranda. Plenty of space!
You can reserve a number of seats in advance via the link here. For the number reserved, we will make a suitable table arrangement.
Activities
You are very welcome for a praam trip, activity. In consultation, we can put together a package that meets the guidelines of the RIVM and still ensures a wonderful day!
At De Wartenster we have a large garden, an even larger meadow, four tour boats, three halls, our own kitchen and bar and almost 1250 square metres of covered activity space. Our location makes virtually nothing impossible. A customised activity or package is possible for every budget, group size and occasion. Of course, we work pleasantly and well with local companies. So if you have wishes you cannot find on our website, please contact us! We will arrange it!
