Collage Charter Motor Ship Elisabeth is a so called "luxury motor". These ships were 'luxury motor "because the accommodation for the skipper and his wife at that time was quite large and so luxurious. The ship was built in 1930 at the yard of Kroeze Hoogezand ordered by the firm of Bakker, a transportation company in Amersfoort. The ship was used for transporting goods between Amersfoort and Rotterdam / Vlaardingen. In the fifties, the truck took over and the Elisabeth was sold. After several owners the fam.Hofman bought the ship in 2000 and converted the ship into a passenger vessel lwhich could be used for multiple purposes. For (painter) trips, bed and breakfast and workshop space. The looks of an old ship remained, but there is also much attention to art and comfort.
