Camping, how cool is that?! Bare feet in the grass, a light breeze on your skin, the tapping of raindrops on your tent (only at night of course ), having breakfast on a picnic blanket, the children doing the washing up and if you’ve forgotten anything you simply borrow it from the neighbours … You free yourself of everything that would have otherwise kept you busy. Not a care in the world? Yes, that’s exactly what it feels like! At the campsite, life’s all about weighty questions like the position of the sun, the colour of the wine, the best wind direction for a bike ride and what your book’s about.

SMALL CAMPSITE WITH A PANORAMIC VIEW

It Dreamlân Natural campsite is located near the beautiful National Park of Lauwersmeer and World Heritage Site the Wadden Sea in The Netherlands’ most beautiful province (yes, really). Right in the heart of the countryside, vast skies everywhere, a relaxed atmosphere and there are always nice people around. There are 25 spacious areas for tents, caravans, camper vans, buses, trailers and such.

It Dreamlân is a well-known natural campsite and is located on an old Frisian mound with wild grass and wild flowers. You can set up your tent or camping equipment in the areas where the grass has been cut a bit lower. All the wild grass and the space around you is there to enjoy.

You can enjoy the day in front of a warm fire in the covered fireplace with cushions. Toasting marshmallows, musing over your drink or enjoying a good conversation.

A VERY CHILDFRIENDLY PLACE

Camping at It Dreamlân is a dream come true for children too: they can jump straight out of their sleeping bag into the sandpit, go fishing with butterfly nets on the water, go crazy on the go-karts, paddle away in the canoes, have a football tournament with all the other children on the campsite, bounce up and down on the trampoline and get dirty as they spend all day playing outdoors (no panic, there’s a washing machine)!

And, how nice for dads, mums and children: the site is safe so you don’t have to keep an eye on them all the time!

BORDER FRIESLAND AND GRONINGEN

It Dreamlân is situated near the border of Friesland and Groningen below the Lauwerslake. For the dayly shopping you can go to the village of Kollum a few miles away. For the Wadden islands it is a short ride to the harbour of Lauwersoog -for the island of Schiermonnikoog- or the harbour of Holwerd for the island of Ameland.

The old town of Dokkum is 10 miles away and is the nothermost town of the Elfstedentocht. When you want to go to a bigger city, in half an hour your are in the city of Leeuwarden or Groningen.
