This summer, Fryslân transforms into a living landscape of art during Paradys, the visual art exhibition by Arcadia. International and local artists present surprising, layered works that explore the theme ‘grûn’ – ground, origin, foundation – in a wide variety of ways. Spread across the province, these artworks invite new perspectives on our connection to the earth and to each other.
During an exclusive series of nine guided tours, a member of the Paradys programme team will take you along all participating locations in Leeuwarden. Over the course of three hours, you’ll walk through various sites in the historic city centre and gain unique insights into the background, creation process, and stories behind the artworks.
Practical info: the tour lasts around three hours and starts at 13:00 in the oasis of Bouwurk. Participation is free, but booking is required due to limited group size.
