Why turn in your Christmas tree at AquaZoo?
Instead of leaving your Christmas tree out with the bulky waste, your tree gets a second life at the zoo. The trees are planted in existing or new park areas—such as last year in the Churchill area—or used as enrichment for animals such as tigers and polar bears. A wonderful way to give your tree a sustainable new purpose!
What do you get in return?
For every tree handed in, you will receive a free admission ticket for AquaZoo, valid until 20 February 2026. This allows you to enjoy a visit to the zoo yourself and see how your Christmas tree is given a new life.
