IFKS Skûtsjesilen

The races take place in the third week of the northern summer construction holiday period, following the series organised by the SKS, the Central Committee for Skûtsjesilen.

More than 60 skûtsjes compete in different classes for the IFKS championship. The racing schedule is as follows:

1 Aug – Hindeloopen
2 Aug – Stavoren
3 Aug – Heeg
4 Aug – Sloten
5 Aug – reserve day or catch-up races at Echtenerbrug
6 Aug – Echtenerbrug
7 Aug – Lemmer
8 Aug – Lemmer, final

IFKS stands for Iepen Fryske Kampioenskippen Skûtsjesilen.
