In collaboration with Verhalenavond (Storytelling Evening), from 2:00 to 3:00 pm you’ll hear and see some of the most remarkable stories from all across Fryslân. Juicy anecdotes, curious miracles, hopeful adventures — it’s all there. In short rounds, you can drop in, take a seat, and be transported to another world. Talk Show with Sanne Vaassen  

Sanne Vaassen is one of the artists featured in Paradys, part of the Arcadia project. She is the 2024 winner of the Symbio Art Prize and collaborated with biologists on Fountain of Heartbeats, a water installation on display at the Natuurmuseum Fryslân. In this piece, she brings the rhythm of nature to life. Fountain of Heartbeats consists of a reservoir that pumps water through various metal tubes. Each tube represents the heartbeat of a key species from Leeuwarden’s natural ecosystem. During this talk show, Paradys artistic director Hans den Hartog sits down with Sanne to explore her work and the ideas behind it.
