Through songs and stories, Gerbrich van Dekken explores the work of Dolly Parton, searching for the magic in the words and melodies of the girl who grew up in poverty in the mountains of Tennessee and dreamed her way to the very top of the music world. For half a century, Dolly has captivated and connected audiences from all walks of life.
Following the success of Trav’lin in the Footsteps, Wei fan Dreamen is Gerbrich van Dekken’s new show. Together with musicians Wander van Duin and Josse Postma, she delves into the life – but above all, the music – of one of her greatest musical heroes: Dolly Parton.
Before the performance, you can enjoy lunch at Eetcafé Jonker Sikke, opposite the church. Lunch is served from 1:00pm.
