A unique outing in the Netherlands: drying out and mudflat walking on the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site.
With the Regina Andrea you sail across the Wadden Sea, just before the tide starts to fall. The ship 'beaches' and almost falls dry on a sandbank in the middle of the sea. With an experienced guide you will disembark and walk across the bottom of the sea. The mudflat hike begins with your feet in the mud. You will discover, among other things, which flora and fauna live in the sea. There is an educational treasure hunt especially for children.
It is a fun, educational experience in a unique part of the Netherlands.
After mudflat walking you go back on board and sail back to the harbor of Harlingen. During the journey there and back, fascinating facts will be told and you will visit the seal bank. The tour takes approximately 4 hours and is suitable for all ages.
The activity is tide dependent. The program may be changed as a result.

Departure point Regina Andrea: Zuiderhaven of Harlingen (near number 11). Parking is available at the Zuiderhaven or in the city center.
Important to know
For mud flat walking it is useful to take the following with you: shoes that you can get dirty/wet, shorts, possibly a thick sweater or a windbreaker if it is a bit chilly, a towel and an extra pair of shoes and pants for the way back.
Make sure you are there at least fifteen minutes before the departure. Departure times are based on the tide. Please note that the program may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Below deck there is a beautiful salon with a sea view. The bar and kitchen are open during the cruise. You can pay in cash or by card.
Dogs are welcome on board.
