Swap your phone for a book, take a seat in the new park next to Campus Fryslân (Willemskade), and enjoy uninterrupted reading among fellow silent readers. In other words: join Page Against the Machine! An international event that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the joy of reading together—this year in collaboration with the Silent Book Club Fryslân at Tresoar.
Bring your own blanket or garden chair, and feel free to bring drinks.
Can’t join us in person? Choose your own favourite spot, quickly share your book (using #PageAgainsttheMachine), put your phone away, and start reading!
Page Against the Machine is an initiative of Norwich UNESCO City of Literature and The Book Hive.
The Silent Book Club Fryslân normally takes place every first Thursday of the month at Tresoar.
