Take a look
In a world where shame often whispers and taboos remain silent, we create a space where silence gives way to stories. Here, we make room for connection and leave exclusion behind. Everyone is welcome. Together with people of all ages, backgrounds and experiences, we explore what it truly takes to be heard and seen.
With Brood Stoven (slow-baked bread), we build on the project Water & Brood (water & bread)Â in which we worked with families of (former) prisoners to explore how loneliness and prejudice are deeply intertwined.
While baking bread and working with our hands, we create space for stories and open up conversations around emotion. Through this simple yet powerful shared act, we take a fresh look at loneliness, taboos, and human connection.
Brood Stoven takes place atBouwurk, and everyone is welcome! We’re opening up this special experience to even more people — creating a warm, safe space where we don’t just bake bread, but also shape an inclusive and connected future together.
Pull up a chair, knead along, and discover how being together can be the first step towards real change.
This event takes place in the Kitchen at Bouwurk, on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden, Fryslân.
Brood Stoven (Slow-Baked Bread) is a collaboration with Stichting DOKLABS: Natasja Knap and Marja Griede.
