Learn Japanese-style painting on ceramic tiles. In this one-day workshop you paint your own blue design on a tile tableau; step by step, using stencils.

Would you like to learn how to paint on ceramic tiles? In this one-day workshop, you’ll use a special brush technique to paint your own design in blue on a panel of handcrafted white tiles. You’ll learn how to prepare oxides for painting and how to transfer your design onto bisque-fired tiles using guidelines. No drawing skills are required – we’ll use templates and guide you through the process step by step.

The workshop takes place twice a year in our studio at Blokhuispoort. Lunch, all materials, glazing and the firing of your work are included.

The workshop is taught by Annigje van der Veen.
