Workshop; Japanese tile painting (tile tableau)

Would you like to learn how to paint on ceramic tiles? In this one-day workshop you practice a distinctive brush technique and paint your own blue design on a tile tableau made from handcrafted white tiles. You will learn how to mix oxide pigments for painting and how to transfer your design onto bisque using simple guide lines. No drawing skills are required; we work with stencils and guide you step by step.
The workshop takes place twice a year in our studio in the Blokhuispoort. Lunch, all materials, glazing and firing are included. Teacher; Annigje van der Veen.
