Johannes 1943 is a play based on the true story of Johannes and those around him. It takes you back in time, where the audience experiences the hiding and the struggle of that era.
Johannes Wassenaar had to go into hiding because he had been called up for military service. He looked at his family, at his mother… his heart was filled with uncertainty. That uncertainty became his struggle: it brought him out into the open, and there he was found.
At a special spot on the Jannum Hill, the war story of Johannes Wassenaar comes to life.
