From her childhood bedroom, Naaz released her debut project Bits of Naaz, and since then she has toured Europe four times. Her music blends English-language and Kurdish influences, earning praise from icons such as Elton John and Lana Del Rey.
In 2020, Naaz chose to step away from the music industry. Three years later, she returned with Never Have I Ever: her critically acclaimed debut album, marking both an artistic and personal rebirth. With her first Kurdish alt-pop track Azadi, Naaz also made a powerful statement. The song grew into an activist anthem for women’s rights, particularly in the Middle East, underlining the importance of her outspoken voice in pop music.
She has received awards for both her music and her self-directed visuals and has also signed a book deal for her debut novel. Beyond the pop world, she is embraced by the literary and orchestral scenes, where she is regularly invited to perform her music with full orchestras. Celebrated for her openness about themes such as autism, diaspora, and staying true to oneself in a turbulent industry, Naaz continues to reinvent her music time and again.
