Eco-Print Your Own Wall Hanging
Discover the beauty of eco-printing and create your own botanical wall hanging – a unique, symmetrical piece of textile art for your home.
Workshop Content
During this 4–5-hour workshop at Makers, Annastasia from Atelier Nachtvlinder will introduce you to the art of eco-printing on linen. She will guide you step by step as you create a unique wall hanging to take home with you at the end of the workshop.
In this in-depth session, we will experiment with the intensity of natural pigments and work with natural modifiers such as alum, iron and vinegar. You will discover how different plants react with natural fibres and how colours can be deepened or subtly altered.
Alongside the practical process, we will explore the origins of the plants we work with. Through storytelling, shared research and exchanging knowledge within the group, the workshop becomes a rich and collaborative learning experience.
Each participant will create one large linen wall hanging (70 × 150 cm), finished with a wooden hanging rail with pre-drilled screws.
Once at home, all you need are two hooks to hang your work.
