Explore Woudsend via a long boat tour from the village (90 minutes) and two short guided tours of the De Jager Sawmill (15 minutes) and the 't Lam Corn Mill (15 minutes).
You will receive a complete experience full of history, craftsmanship, and water. Discover how wood was sawn and how grain was milled, and how this traditional method is still kept alive in Woudsend's two historic mills, combined with an extensive boat trip featuring stories about Woudsend and the surrounding area.
Location
The activity starts at Sawmill De Jager, at Ald Wyk 18 in Woudsend. The mill is accessible from the front via Iewal / Ald Wyk. Please do not enter via the gate at the back. Parking is limited in the surrounding residential areas.
Important to know
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time. The boat trip and tours will only take place if at least 4 people have registered. There is room for a maximum of 12 people. Sailing will only take place weather permitting.
To be on the safe side, bring plenty of warm clothing, and on a sunny day, a cap and sunscreen. Life jackets are available. There are no sanitary facilities on board.
