Which Stoereloer workshop would you like to join this afternoon? Make your choice below! Please note: the workshops run at the same time.
These workshops are designed for children aged 6 to 13. You’ll work with real tools and traditional techniques, using repurposed materials to create your very own carnival-themed inventions! And yes — you get to take home what you make.
The workshops are led by artists Marsja van der Ven and Yvonne Feijten.
Workshops – Thursday 17 July, 1:30 – 4:00 PM
· Workshop option 1: Spinning with Wires (6+)
Build your own spinning carnival ride using wood, wire, batteries, and a real electric motor. Learn how to make electricity flow and bring your homemade swing ride to life. Technical, creative, and full of action!
· Workshop option 2: Strike Your Own Carnival Coins (6+
In this workshop, you’ll create your own coins using metalworking techniques! Hammering, sawing, filing, stamping, drilling, heating… and more, and more!
This event takes place in the Maakruimte (Makerspace) at Bouwurk, on Oldehoofsterkerkhof in Leeuwarden, Fryslân.
