The walk takes you past a number of well-known churches and (former) monasteries, such as the Grote of Jacobijnerkerk, the Westerkerk and the St. Bonifatiuskerk. Lesser-known places of worship also receive attention, including the Lutheran and Walloon churches, the synagogue, and the Mennonite church on the Wirdumerdijk, which remained hidden from the street until 1832.
