The Open Stage at Bouwurk offers a unique opportunity for local artists to showcase their talents in an accessible and welcoming setting. Every Friday evening, artists from the region are invited to perform on the stage in the Oasis, across a variety of artistic disciplines such as music, theatre, dance, comedy, and poetry. The event not only provides a platform for artists to share their work, but also allows audiences to discover new talents and enjoy a wide range of performing arts.
This Friday, the line-up includes:
Amber Izinga – spoken word
Amber performs a poem or short story in spoken word form. She’s taking part in the Open Stage to gain more experience performing live!
Settimia – poetry
Settimia is currently working on a poetry collection with illustrations, along with a multidisciplinary film combining dance, nature imagery, and soundscapes. At the Open Stage, she presents poetry set to music.
Beetgaar – improv comedy
Beetgaar is the new improv comedy sensation from Leeuwarden, made up of Ellen and Louis. Their improvised scenes, ranging from musicals to murder mysteries, are based entirely on suggestions from the audience — expect lots of laughs and surprises!
Priceyy – rapper
Under the name Priceyy, Yunen Kok performs original live hip-hop. His music moves between punk and hip-hop and is best described as Sprezzatura — effortless style with a raw edge.
