The sky is filled with colourful kites dancing in the wind, a spectacle for young and old. Admire the piloting skills of experienced kite flyers from Vereniging De Fryske Draeken who let their works of art float high above you. And that's not all! Children can unleash their creativity by colouring in their own kite which they can then let take off.
Anne-Famkes Pleats, surrounded by picturesque landscapes, offers the ideal setting for this enchanting event. Whether you are a kite enthusiast, want to see the happy faces of your children as they fly their own kites, or just want to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while the kites float high above you, this day has something for everyone.
The charming farm, Anne-Famkes Pleats, is located on the famous 'Fiets Elfstedenroute', between Leeuwarden and the historic Dokkum, near Bartlehiem. This also makes it the perfect destination for a relaxing bike ride and offers an opportunity to get off for a while.
