Take a time travel through the southwest corner of Fryslân with the cheerful guide Yde. Get into a vintage bus from 1958 and be enchanted by the beautiful landscape of the Frisian Lakes and Gaasterland. Experience the history through fascinating stories and discover the most special places in the region. Yde is the guide and storyteller; he lets you experience the region with passion and humor. Be careful: there is a risk of laughter!

There are two different types of time travel: an afternoon trip or a day trip:

Afternoon tour: if you choose the short variant, you immediately board the vintage bus and go on a time travel through the region. Including coffee/tea and real Frisian orange cake at the historic Jans hotel in Rijs and entrance to the monumental town hall and museum of Sloten.

Day trip: This trip starts with coffee/tea and orange cake in the National Public Transport Museum, after which you get into the classic car for a time travel. This is the extended version of the afternoon tour. An additional option is the delicious lunch at Hotel Jans in Rijs.

Location
Start: Jetze Veldstraweg 46A, Ouwsterhaule (National Public Transport Museum). There is plenty of free parking available.

Important to know
Please arrive at the vintage bus fifteen minutes in advance for the afternoon tour so that you can quietly find a spot. Your guide and driver will be waiting for you there. The bus leaves promptly at 1:00 PM. Coffee will be ready in the museum at 10 a.m. for the day trip.

In chilly weather: please note that transport is in a beautiful vintage bus, but it is not heated in a modern way.

You can buy a ticket until 6 p.m. on the day before a tour. The tour will continue if there are at least 18 registrations. You will hear this by email no later than 7 p.m. on the day before the planned tour. If this is not the case, you can choose another day or cancel.

Safety of the guests comes first. The trip can be rescheduled in the event of irresponsible weather conditions (for example, dangerous slippery conditions, code orange or red). The tickets will then remain valid for a replacement date. You will be informed about this by email as soon as possible.
