During the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, May 11, there will be one big viewing party in Leeuwarden.
Leeuwarden is gearing up for an unforgettable evening! On May 11th, thousands of fans will gather at Oldehoofsterkerkhof for the Europarty: a massive celebration to cheer on Joost Klein during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Together, we'll cheer on the born and bred Frisian to victory!
What began as a spontaneous idea has quickly grown into an unprecedented spectacle. The municipality of Leeuwarden, the province of Friesland, pop venue Neushoorn, Omrop Fryslân, and Sipke Jan Bousema are joining forces to create a true party machine. The final will be broadcast live on a giant screen, accompanied by performances from local artists. The organizers have even asked AVROTROS to handle the scoring from Leeuwarden.
Joost, we've got your back! Leeuwarden will be your homeland for one evening. Together, we'll burst with joy as you raise that coveted trophy in the air. So buckle up your Noflikkers and get ready for an evening full of Frisian fire!
