Fyts, kuier & vaarroute
This route offers you the opportunity to combine cycling, walking and boating. You can stop off for a canoe trip at De Kievit campsite between junctions 78 and 76. You get a discount upon presenting the cycling route. You can go for a walk at the Kop Bloksleat between junctions 61 and 62. There is an information board from the Staatsbosbeheer (Forestry Commission) at the start. There is a lookout tower halfway through the walk.

Broek Bell Tower
In the slightly raised waterside graveyard in Broek there is a white wooden bell tower with a four-sided dome roof. The swinging bell was cast by Hendrik Wegewaert in 1600.
Zwettepoel Recreational Lake
Zwettepoel (in Frisian Swettepoel) is an idyllic recreational lake between the villages of Broek and Goingarijp in the Lage Midden or ‘low midlands’ area of Friesland. At one time the lake was connected to the Broekstervaart and Noorder Oudeweg waterways.

The Nannewiid
The Nannewiid, along with the Douwe Pôlle and the Lytse Wiid, is a valuable natural area. Originally, it was a marshy wilderness. It transformed when peat diggers from Giethoorn extracted peat here.
Beach Nannewijd
A small beach with various play equipment for children. The beach has a swimming area with a demarcation for small children. There is also a slide.
Monument Gaele Visser
On May 2, 2015, a monument was unveiled here for the Frisian-Canadian soldier Gaele Visser, born in Haskerhorne in 1920 and emigrated to Canada in 1930.

On May 2, 2015, a monument was unveiled here for the Frisian-Canadian soldier Gaele Visser, born in Haskerhorne in 1920 and emigrated to Canada in 1930. Gaele Visser enlisted in the Canadian army in 1942, specifically in the Algonquin Regiment. He fought in the liberation of Western Europe and was killed on April 23, 1945, near Oldenburg (Germany).
He is buried at the Canadian War Cemetery in Holten. The monument provides information about both his private life and military career.
